Àbó Edo ñnó ché néwú mà dó related groups in their immediate àkwórà úyín mà also encompassed by the political and administrative borders of Edo state.[3] àbóà mà dó groups mà mú dàbí tà àbàgwàné mà historical city center off the Benin àmóné, BeCity. Ódú àyí mà dó groups ówú mà kó ànéyí Afemai sub-groups, àbó Esan kpàí àbó Edo state kpàí àbó Akoko Edo people situated on the state's northern borders.[4]

Úgbó mà dó Edo state dédàmà kwúbí àwú mà dó old Bendel state of early post-colonial Nigeria, amà neó dó Mid-Western Region, Nigeria. This region's influence and culture reflects that of the Edo, Urhobo, Esan and other Edo related peoples.[5]
